Assignment 9: Doug Vaughan

There are a few instances where war is necessary. War is necessary when you have to defend yourself from an aggressive attacking force that is intent on destroying, enslaving, or however they want to bring justice to a group of people of what they believe they have done. The group of people could be a country, a race, or an alliance. Ultimately, I believe in this situation going to war is the lesser of two evils because if a group of people don’t defend themselves then the result would be in the favor of the aggressors. Now going to war is not morally right or necessary when you don’t have to defend your self but you go to war anyway based on your beliefs of justice to that group of people. War is pretty much unavoidable because when humans get into disagreements it in our nature to win. Sometimes humans do whatever it takes to win even if the only way to win is through violence
