My thanksgiving involves an hour drive to northern Kentucky to
go to my aunt and uncle’s house with my brothers, my parent, and my
grandparents. I get to see my great grandmother. We eat turkey, ham, mashed
potatoes, green beans, and sweet potatoes. My grandmother makes the best pumpkin
pie ever. We eat and play board games for most of the evening. I love
thanksgiving. It is one of the few times I get to see my aunt, uncle, and great
grandmother. My best memory of thanksgiving is last year when my family stayed
in a family friends’ cabin in the country on their farm. It was peaceful and
quiet, we could even hear coyotes at night. It was so beautiful. We got to feed
their goats. We plan on doing it again for next thanksgiving. We sometimes go
black Friday shopping, but rarely go shopping on thanksgiving.
