I would like to start this out by saying that many of my family members have been/or are in the military. Going forward with the question, I believe that war is inevitable simply due to the nature of mankind. War only happens when there is a problem with keeping the peace. Especially in todays power-hungry world in which every major country has entered into a contest to see who can become the most "powerful" among their peers. "Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind", said JFK. While some believe war is necessary to solve problems and keep the peace, I am of the mindset that war may eventually kill us all. On the other foot, however I enjoy studying and learning about the history of war in our world and just how big of a role it has played. I have enjoyed social studies the most when delving into the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and even WWI.
