Assignment 4- Doug Vaughan
A belief that I challenged was the belief of messiness is bad. As a teenage boy my room is messy and I do my homework in my room. My parents would always get on me about it, they would say, "How can you think in such a messy room, oh my gosh clean it up now!" At first I did clean it up but when I noticed I got distracted easier in cleaner rooms so I started responding to them, "But, I focus better in messier rooms." They would still be mad at me and make me clean up my room but only a little bit so its just a little messy. My beliefs were strengthened even more when I saw a survey in the PSAT say people are more creative in messier environments. I've been standing up for what I believe in to the anger but respect from my parents
