Like I said in Assignment 4, my worst fear is being fooled or tricked into believing something that benefits another party. This leads me to be cynical and possibly paranoid, but I hold that to lose credibility, I have to be much more so. The area in which this appears the most is corporate advertising. Since I gave some examples before, I'll give some more. Dating services are COMPLETE crap and wastes of money. No algorithm can determine love and interests in common aren't nearly indicative of it. Also, health supplements like protein powder are not usually effective and the FDA does not have as much power to regulate what actually goes into them as you think; sometimes, crushed up rice has been found in some capsules. Finally, glasses only cost so much because a single company, Luxotica, bought all glasses companies out and raised the prices, they really only cost around 10$ to make. As you can tell, I love the TV show Adam Ruins Everything, however it did not make my top five TV shows in assignment 5.
