Assignment Six – Jessica Ewing
I've got so many interests, so I'm just going to name the first few I can think of:
1. I adore psychology. More specifically, psychiatry. Learning how the brain works, how people socially respond to different stimulants and scenarios, how people affect others, and how medicine treats diseases of the mind. It's been a passion of mine for as long as I've known about the subject. I've studied psychology on my own for years, learning bits and pieces of information about different disorders, medicines, cognitive treatments, and so on and so forth. Mental illness specifically and the treatment of it has always been a fascinating subject to study for me.
2. History. The study of the decisions of people over the course of the existence of the world, that's how I see history. What did the Bolsheviks do when they were discontent with the Tsar Nicholas II and his way of governing Russia (especially during World War I)? They forced the Tsar to abdicate the throne, stormed the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, and took over the country.
3. Theatre. Acting puts me in the shoes of someone who I'm not, but who I become as a part of a larger story. Building sets, adjusting lights, and setting music are also incredibly fun for me. Every aspect of the theatre world, honestly, has become a passion of mine over the last few years.
