Hi everyone! I’m William Brennan Cegelka, but my parents have always called me
Brennan.
Personally, I spend a lot of time outside. I play baseball here at Henry Clay and I hope to
be an integral part in our teams success this year. I play second base for the team and
occasionally relief pitch. I love to play baseball and I hope that I continue to play it for long time.
I would also like to go camping for the weekend this year. Academically, I would like to continue
to improve upon my 3.9 unweighted GPA. I am taking 5 AP classes this year and I hope to
balance my personal and academic life outside of school.
When I was at HOBY (Hugh O’Bryan Youth Leadership) Kentucky, I was so invigorated
by the end of the seminar that I started going out and making a real difference in the community.
My family and I now donate toys to the children’s hospital once a month.
If I could have any superpower, I would choose the power to teleport. I’m just now being
able to drive on my own, but for the longest time I was always running late to places. My parents
are constantly driving my brother and I across Lexington, and as a result I always found myself
rushed.
As I touched on earlier, I love sports. Unfortunately for me, my sports teams don’t always
love me back. I’m a San Diego sports fan. I lived there for a significant chunk of my life. But,
the Padres are terrible every year, and my beloved Chargers have moved to L.A. So, to keep up
on my tragic teams, I go to espn.com.
