I like TV because it is a way to get a window into another world, like reading, only with less of a time commitment. It’s also a form of entertainment, like music, that can just be on and can serve as background noise that varies more than music does but it doesn’t take your attention away from doing homework or working on other things. But then again it can also be a quality form of entertainment when you just sit down and watch it and invest times into following a character or a storyline. I usually find it difficult to just watch a TV show without doing something else while watching, but I feel like I use it as a way to relax and not have to devote a lot of time or energy into it.
I watch some TV. I normally don’t watch Netflix, but I watch a few TV shows when I have time. My favorites are Big Brother and Survivor. I really enjoy both of these shows because they challenge contestants to compete for their prize through competing for power, forming alliances, and creating strategies. I enjoy watching them interact both with how they are represented in the show and by watching the live feeds of what’s happening. I have several more shows on my list, like Stranger Things and Sherlock, but I haven’t gotten a chance to watch them yet.
