I have two things that have changed my perspective about life, those being driving and Marching Band
Let me start with the latter. Marching Band has changed my life for the better, and taught me a lot of life lessons along the way. I'm a lot better at arriving on time now, seeing as being on time might as well be arriving late. The band starts warming up once the time reaches the set time for rehearsal to start, so arriving at the school at the time listed does more harm than good.
Driving has re-enforced the idea that repetition does in fact make you better at something. Currently I have around 30 hours logged under my learner's permit, which is half of the required 60 hours necessary to take the driving test. I can feel myself becoming a better driver each time I get behind the wheel, as I become more attentive and aware of my surroundings. Driving around town also gives me an excuse to go do things that normally my parents wouldn't just drive me to go do, like get coffee or go out to eat.
