Assignment 3- Sam Underwood

The racial and cultural diversity in my high school is disproportionate. A good majority of the students that attend Henry Clay High School are white and come from middle to upper class families. This environment doesn't provide much for education on the other cultures or races.I haven’t learned about other cultures or races because I have been surrounded by the same types of people all of my life in school. I have learned about the french culture through my studies of their language in French 1-3. I have also learned about French through meeting my friend's french exchange students that visited Lexington this summer. I learned a lot about the French’s health habits: such as smoking and drinking more from what my friends’ had experienced in being in France themselves. So in conclusion, I learned about French culture and haven’t learned much about other cultures from my educational environment due to the lack of diversity.
