Assignment 2- Sam Underwood

Some of the notable books I have read in the past year are:

1. Catcher In The Rye by: J.D Salinger
This was the book I brought along with me to vacation. I thoroughly enjoyed Salinger's sarcastic tone while sticking my toes in the sand. Catcher In The Rye was captivating start to finish and is working it's way to being one of my favorite books.

2. Men Explain Things to Me by: Rebecca Solnit
Solnitt puts misogynists in their place with her writing. She clearly explains how destructive a misogynistic society full of rape culture can be, and how America can prevent that.

3. The Mother of All Questions by: Rebecca Solnit
I picked up the sequel to her published essays after really enjoying the first book. Solnit's writing beautifully shows both "sides" to the arguments for and against feminism.

4. The Book Thief by: Markus Zusak
This book is one of my all time favorite books. I re-read it over spring break. I find the author's choice of point of view for the narrator in this book absolutely captivating.
